So, day 2 of Leavenworth was absolutely incredible. We woke up to snow covered trees, and went on a beautiful walk around the town. We got some coffee in a cute little shop, and listened to a podcast together and wrote down our goals for the next year (we had been meaning to write some goals for a few weeks!).
It felt perfect in this cozy, small town with snowy trees and an extra chilly morning that called for cuddling. After our lovely morning, we went on a riverwalk where there were inches of fresh snow...perfect recipe for a SNOW BALL FIGHT! It felt like we were kids again, and it just felt magical.
We also found a fun snow hill and went sledding. I was nervous, so Tom pushed me down the biggest hill we could find, and I had an absolute blast. We had some hot cocoa after, and got ready to head back into Seattle - just a 2 hour drive away. Leavenworth is the perfect escape from everything, but lets you appreciate the people you are with - whether it is family, a loved one, or a great group of friends.
I love Leavenworth and what a perfect time of year to be there! I missed Octoberfest this year, but Fall in Leavenworth is also breathtaking. Glad you enjoyed it!
I heard October fest its so much fun over there we will definitely be there this year!!!!
It looks like a European village! Love Washington! did a road trip up through the mountains out to the peninsula and down the coast last Fall. Will be sharing some of those pics in the future!
