I was nailed by a few scorpions while living in Monteverde... once while in bed on the shin and another in some shorts I put on - I'll let you imagine where I got hit... the only close encounter, but no sting was the moment I pulled on the roll of tp... a nice big black scorpion was riding on the back and was perched on top not far from my fingers... I was like oh damn!
