There are TWO things that you never seem much of when working on expedition ships in Antarctica.
TIME ALONE
You are so busy behind the scenes of planning landings & zodiac cruises. Triple checking weather conditions, currents and tides, potential ice hazards and of course marine mammal locations. Its busy and hectic and you are constantly at work, as you are always in the presence of guests who typically have lots of questions & inquiries, which can be very entertaining at times.
However, every once in a while you get a moment to yourself where you can simply breathe and take some time to yourself. This photo I took of my colleague, good friend all round bad-arse woman, Franny! She is an awesome gem of a human being.
