So I'm brand new to the Steemit community, I was recommended here from a friend and I'm really excited to give it a try. I actually joined a couple of days ago but I thought it would be nice to just have a look around for a while before posting anything. That way I could get a feel everything.
Honestly I really wasn't sure what to post and I was a little nervous, so I thought I would start off with a little about myself. Where did I start, well I'm actually from a pretty tiny island off the African coast called Lanzarote. It's a really magical place and although I know I'm probably biased I would definitely say if you ever get the chance to go you should take it. I really think I was lucky to grow up here because for a large part it's a very international place so you can find a lot of people with very open minded mentality. I'm sure it shaped a lot of who I am today and I'm grateful for that. So here are a few photos of Lanzarote starting with myself dressed up like a lima on a boat waving hello to the steemit community.
Don't look to closely at the shape of the swimming pool, nothing to see here..
The island was formed by volcanic eruptions which have made a really striking shape and colour to the like. Also I didn't mean this post to be so water oriented but hey its a pretty small island, lots of water, what do you expect?

I just came back few days ago. It was second time, this time specifically for cycling. Landscapes are amazing, different planet feeling. Enjoyed wandering among volcanoes the most.

Wow, that;s quite a beautiful place! I will admit, I hadn't heard of Lanzarote before today and had to look it up online to understand where it actually is. I have begun to travel a lot more in recent times and look to explore new places - and this looks like the kind of place I wouldn't mind visiting soon! And welcome to Steemit too, it's a nice place to be too :)

Loved you introduction and the super cute fun photo. I'm only really new too. I have followed you and look forward to seeing more of your awesome little island.
Just a tip: Someone told my hubby when we first started not to forget to add a verification photo to the introduction post of me a separate verification.
You should see plenty of examples in the #introduceyourself tag or feel free to check out my intro post with the verification down the bottom for an example.

I've never heard of Lanzarote, I had to google it to see where it is on a map. That's pretty interesting, do you travel much off of the island?

Hey I actually live in the Netherlands now! I'm glad to hear I'm spreading the word about Lanzarote I still love it there and try to visit as much as I can!
