Karaweik Palace

This place is one of the main attraction in Yangon where they serve international buffet dinner for visitors and there is also an on going performance of the different culture dance from the different eras and province of Myanmar.

A pretty Myanmar girl in traditional palace costume helping visitor to apply the thanaka. It is made from the tree bark of the thanaka tree by grinding it on a wet stone to make the brownish paste. You can see it applied on the girl's cheek.

In Singapore we have the lion dance but in Myanmar they have the elephant dance.
