Dreams become true

Since I joined steemit, I have always dreamed about travelling with some money that I can earn on this thanks to my blog. Today , I have finally made my dream come true. I have started traveling for 2 weeks, starting in Sarajevo, Bosnia. As I mentioned in my posts before, I love traveling a lot and it is my passion. When I got permission to travel from my boss, I immediately bought my flight tickets and now I am in Sarajevo far away from my country. I dediced to go on holiday in two countries which are Bosnia and Serbia. These are my preferences as I have never been in these countries before and I don't need a visa to visit them

Tiring journey

It wasn't an easy way from my city, Izmir to Sarajevo. I had to take two flights to arrive at city as there wasn't direct flight from Izmir, so I had to fly to Istanbul first. I woke up at 5 a.m in Turkish time and headed to Izmir airport to board on my first flight. When I got to Istanbul after 1 hour, I was shocked when I learned that my flight was delayed because of weather conditions in Sarajevo, so I had to wait for my flight for 3 hours more. When I got on my second flight, it was already 1 pm. Can you imagine how tired I was? However, When the plane took off, I understood that it was all worth waiting for it. We sometimes have to suffer to achieve what we really want!

Turkish Airlines

The flight with Turkish airlines which is one of the companies in aviation sector was really good. As we don't need visa, there were lots of people flying from Istanbul to Sarajevo. As I was so much excited about this new and unique adventure, I couldn't understand how fast we arrived at Sarajevo airport. After passport control and other formalities, I finally got on the bus and headed to the hostel that I am staying at the moment. I don't like staying in hotels as they are expensive. Hostels are really comfortable and cheap of course. Hostels are really cool places that give you chances to have new adventures and create relationships!

Bosnia

Bosnia has their own currency, so when I got to the airport, I had to change some money into Bosnia convertible marka. I took some photos of them to show you how they look like. Bosnia is a really cheap country. When I compared this small but cute county with other European countries, it is really amazing how little I spend here to have a great time. I don't pay much for food, accommodation or transportation. If you want to feel like a rich person, you should pay a visit to here! When we look at the quality of things that we get in return of what we give, this county is really heaven!

The old town

When I reached the city center, the old town of the city where you can see everything , I was amazed with the view I got. The city might be really small and poor, but there is a unique feeling that you can't find in big cities. The old town is really small , I think I will spend maybe 1 or 2 days here. As I got there a bit late today, I couldn't have enough time to discover its narrow streets, but I will do it tomorrow for sure. As I told you above, I am staying in a hostel. When you are in a city, the first thing you must do is to find your place , so I spent some time trying to find it, but I finally did! It can be the best part of traveling to a new city.

Take off your shoes!

It is a tradition many countries in this region to take your shoes off before stepping into a house. This hostel is like a house where there is a big lounge room and some private rooms upstairs. I really feel like I am at home as there is no difference between my house and here. The only difference is there are some new people around me and my real house is far away now. I guess, we all need some breaks to enjoy our lives. We are under so much pressure all day. Life is not good If we don't know how to enjoy it.

Cute old town

Sarajevo is really small. Everything that gets the attention of tourists is in the center of the city. As I mentioned above, the flights were really long today so I arrived at this city at about 4 pm so there wasn't much time to see what this city is keeping for travelers like me. However, as I was so eager to show how the center looks like, I decided to make a stop and take a photo for you. You can enjoy the scenery and the view of city center where there is a river flowing along. This is very typical for Balkan countries.

Cevapcici!

The best part of the day was the end that I made with some amazing Bosnian food which is called as cevapcici. It is eaten in almost all balkan countries. It is super delicious and can be both with very low prices. I paid just 2 euros for the portion that you saw in the photo above. It is served with some special bread and onions. Even though I had a small portion of it, I was really full. I think, I will get more weight during this holiday. As food and alcohol are really cheap, I just can't stop checking them out and they are really tempting!
