I am posting additional pictures of the Petrified Forest National park, the ones I missed out in my previous post.

If you are ever in Arizona, US, make sure you visit the Petrified Forest National Park! I have never seen anything like this anywhere! The vista and colors are brighter than I imagined.

Petrified forest is named so because of it's petrified wood!
They are fossils, especially fallen trees dating back to the Late Triassic Period, about 225 million years ago. Click here to know more!

A fascinating drive through beautiful scenery! The Petrified Forest and Painted Desert are both accessible on the same route.
The colors of the painted desert are amazing. And the view can change depending on the sun.

Great shots again, i definitely think they're bullet holes in the car.

Arizona is an amazing state! Whenever I come to US, this state is a must anyway. Thank your your story, I have never heard of petrified wood before.

Nice photos. Such colorful tree stump fossils. I've never seen anything like that either.

Thank you so much <3

very nice photo

Thank you :)

Excellent photos, really make you feel and think to pack your bags and go there to see all this live.

Thank you so much :)

I'm the proud owner of a piece of petrified wood. I got it from a place in South Dakota. I don't think we were supposed to take any home with us, but I was only nine years old... and my dad said it would be okay.

I like how the car in the photo comes with bullet holes. That's an incredible photo.

Yeah we are not allowed to take them home. I was 21 and I was looking for tiny pebble-size piece to take home. Believe I didn't find any, it's just huge chunks! You got lucky with that piece of wood :)
I did not notice the bullet holes :P I see now.
Thank you so much :)

Thats awesome, i think some even use it as jewelry

Yeah. Once it's polished, it looks great :)

does the car still run?

Nope. It's abandoned, rusty and very old.

It's awesome how that tree looks like after millions of years. Hope I'll look as beautiful :3
*and you too ofc :D

That's the dream :P

Arizona is gorgeous. The sunshine in Arizona is gorgeous red. You had captured it in all its beauty.

Thank you so much for that wonderful comment :)

Nice pictures Tara and so nice to finally see a girl from Bangalore on Steemit :)

Thank you so much :) Yeah. It's nice to connect :)

Wow, that's so cool! I would never expect to see all of those colors in the desert. And not to mention some of the wood is 225 million years old! It just goes to show the beauty of nature and how much we still do not know. I'm glad you had a great time and got to enjoy all of the scenery. Thanks for sharing :)

Thank you so much @cryptodata :) Beautiful comment!

WOW! The different colours on the desert hills! So cool. Very beautiful!

Thank you so much Sarah! :)

Is that bullet holes in that rusted 1932 Studebaker?

I'm not really sure. Could be just a few normal deep dents.

The three on the driver side door look like dents, but the same side rear door has 3 holes just under the window opening. It adds to the mystery. Thanks for taking that picture. Fascinating.

It totally is ! I notice it now !

An amazing place. Would love to see it one day.
