I wanted to write a whole post about my thoughts on Okinawa but I really didn't like it there, easily the worst place I've ever been in my life, so I'll just write something here.

Nothing really stands out in Okinawa. Beaches? No, a billion places in the world have way better beaches. Old structures? Of course not. Food? I've had better food in Asia. People? Not a fan, they are not that nice like the people in other parts of Japan and they are not passionate either compared to people from South East Asian countries, again not a fan. Shopping? I don't care about shopping but maybe it is good for this because that's where thousands and thousands of Taiwanese go to shop every year. Seriously I've seen more Taiwanese there than Okinawan people. City and overall atmosphere? I love to take walks and get lost while doing it but this time really I didn't care for it, this place didn't appeal to me at all.

I didn't have the chance to check all the WWII related places so hopefully those are good but I guess I'll never know.

Anyway best and worst...

Best - Kids Friendly

If you have kids this gotta be one of the best places in the world if not the best...just check my pictures.

Outside of a department store, awesome place to let your kid have a good time while the mom does her shopping

Toilets for kids, how awesome is that?

They not only have strollers for kids but in some places you can even have a choice.

And it's so easy for a mother to find a place to feed the baby...yeah I forgot to take a picture of those.

Worst - English

That's a problem throughout Japan and it really bothers me so much. It's not just people speaking almost 0 English but a lot info it's just in Japanese and a place with a lot of tourists SHOULD have English all over the place. Just look at the pictures and tell me if that's not frustrating...

That's the first thing you see right after you leave the airport and before getting into the metro station.

Laundry room in a really good hotel...seriously?

At the Aquarium...most of the info, only in Japanese. I paid for a ticket damn it, I'd like to know what I'm looking at.

Department store with at least half of the people I saw being non Japanese.

At the tourist spot to check out the American base.

Elevator in my other hotel.

At the Shurijo Castle, arguably the main attraction in Okinawa and still...

And I didn't bother sharing all the no English menus...
