My parents managed to get some amazing shots during their visit.

I'm not able to identify these quite as well as the birds in this previous post but they were just too cool not to share!

Are those poisonous?

As far as I know these aren't poisonous. I really don't know a whole lot about them.
Though I remember hearing of some large lizards like this passing on bacteria in their mouth when biting.

reptiles are more common spreading salmonella.

Yuck, but sounds about right lol 🤙

Those lizards are really big. I hope they are not dangerous. They kinda gimme chills a little.
Good pics. Thanks for sharing.

Wow! I've never been to the Galapagos Island, but these creatures look way cool.

Great shots, it's great that you could see them in their native habitat!

hey @sykochia I have been doing these photocontests lately. I'm really enjoying them and it really helps with the steemit learning curve for me. I need a new camera though lol

Second vote.
...or first?

THAT obligatory turtoise 😂

A year or so ago I've watched a documentary about Galapagos (I think it was on Netflix). I was mesmerized by the Galapagos' fauna!

Its really scary shape it does not exist in my country
Something really strange

so here is the deal @sykochica . If you are ever looking for me you won't have to bother looking for me in the land of the giant lizards. Start your search anywhere but there. No way, no how am I going to a place with these things lol!!!

Interesting. Your parents are good at taking pictures.

They all look so incredible! Whenever I hear about Galapagos I just instantly think of the tortoises. All the reptiles seem so cool.

Wow, those are cool! I'd like to spend a little time there with my camera, although I'd probably get bitten and wind up on the hospital... It's amazing how many different types there are, and they all have very different coloration. Very nice photography, too.

Lizards are neat. They're like little dinosaurs. The second picture is my favourite. He's really enjoying that rock.

I think, but I'm not sure, that our orangeish friend(s) is/are Conolophus subcristatus. There's another similar-looking species called Conolophus pallidus, the pallidus part meaning "pale"-- but we can clearly see the dark colouring on the back which is characteristic of C. subcristatus.

Note that I'm not an expert on reptiles. I just believe strongly in Cunningham's Law. If I'm wrong, someone will be along shortly enough to tell you what it really is.

Amazing my dear friend @sykochica😉
Very happy to see those images of reptiles ,,,, for the first time I can follow to see some kinds of reptiles from outside my republic.
So thanks u so much for sharing that.
Good luck my dear @sykochica😉

There's a really great episode on Netflix ...blue planet 2 i think that shows the big lizards up top. The craziest bit is that they swim.

Their skins and shells are so unique. Do they all walk on their bellies or do some stand? Thanks for sharing the photos.

Wow... this is indeed huge, what are they called? Nice shots

They look like the Komodo dragons of Indonesia especially those on the rocks, but I bet they're not as dangerous. Your parents are also good photographers :)

Although I miss Gizmo's obligatory pic here, I find the Tortoise cute too :)

Excellent photography !!!
the lizards are really amazing to see :D

Check out the claws on dat

Galapagos Islands interesting place to see some animals like these never seen such things before

woah they are some huge reptiles damn. I'd never ever visit that place trust me. but speaking about the pictures, gorgeously taken <3 i'm your new follower

Those are great shots! In real life they really freak me out, but on screen they're a wonder to look at. What was your entry point to Galapagos? Ecuador? I've been meaning to travel there, and I hope I would be able to in the near future.

Wonderful photos !!!
Reptiles are beautiful and terrible at the same time.

I've always wanted to visit the Galapagos Islands. When I do go, I'd definitely keep an eye out for this beauty!

if i have seen those in real i would run away in the same exact minute

What a Beautiful creature, i have seen smaller ones similar to these in pet stores for reptiles, but never any such as these. I owned a turtle once named Henry, haha i liked the turtle image you chose for your post! Keep up the excellent content and Steem-on! @sykochica

The lizard in that second picture is CHILLIN'

Great shots! Such cool looking animals.
