Touring Africa -2- Zambia

in #travel7 years ago

We continued our tour into Zambia. Still driving on bumpy roads while getting to know the tour group. We had to refill our supplies and stopped in Lusaka for that. It was highly interesting to see a big city from the window perspective. I remember at one point we saw some men sitting next to the road while chatting and just standing there, next to a sign saying "MEN AT WORK". But hey you are not interested in big city life in Africa. It is the animals and the scenery that are the reasons why people go to Africa right?

This was taken close to one of our camps in Zambia. We were staying in a camp that was inside a wildlife reserve/park. Which basically meant we had elefants possibly walking through our camp, crocodiles in the river and all kinds of animals drinking out of the pool at night.

The camp. We were tenting most of the trip and at this place we were told to always keep the tent closed otherwise the monkeys would go nut in our tents :-p We did several tours in this reserve/park, and even managed to see a Leopard the first night!

Shitty quality but still better than "big foot proof" :-p

After this reserve/park we went to Lake Kariba to party on a boat that looked like it was going up the Mississippi.
But that is for the next post. Hope you enjoyed the bad quality photos :-p

Have a nice day :-)

Did you take the photo of the lion? You should be very brave!

Yes I did. No not brave. I was taken from a safari car. No cage though. It was open, like a cabriolet. :-) I am only posting my own photos :-)
