It's actually scary setting off oneself into a world with unending possibilities and misfortunes. However, there's a bigger picture that we might miss if we let our fears or agitations overrule us. As the steem platform gives us unending opportunities for oneself and others, having inspirations in any forms is pretty much needed to sustain making good quality contents and letting ourselves to inspire other people.
HOW CAN TRAVELLING HELP YOU?
Taking the first step to explore this constantly changing world is truly never easy but don't be afraid but grab it by horns and make sure to savor every single minute of that first leap. IT MAKES YOU MORE COMPELLING
The more you are interesting to something, the more it makes you an interesting person. Having aspirations to see the world attracts it to make you a more interesting individual.
IT EMPOWERS YOUR INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

When you travel, there's no best way to narrow down your trip and making it less complicated but through communication. By simply talking to locals, you can already learn a lot of information and helps you develop your communication skills and earn that confidence one at a time.
YOU LEARN MORE ABOUT YOURSELF
It may sound cliche but it's true. By taking ourselves out of our daily atmosphere, we tend discover more things about ourselves. Travelling solo in particular can give us time to perform inner talks and realize on things that we like and dislike.
It leads you to a greater sense of empathy
When you travel and of course going to different places eventually meet different people from different walks of life and you are able to see how the culture is and how people interact to each other. Hearing stories from them somehow gives you a feeling of appreciation and you can sometimes relate and understand to it. Then share that feeling to one another.

One could argue that every action we undertake in life gives us a bigger understanding of ourselves and helps to develop us as individuals in a rapidly changing and growing world, but travelling is definitely one of those areas that can really make an impact.
Travelling has given me so much, both mentally and emotionally, made me grow as a person and learn things about myself I'd never had known otherwise..
I'd say though that while I do enjoy solo travel a lot I've found a lot more joy in travelling with @iwanderela, the constant sparring with a close partner opens up lot of possibilities that I tend to overlook as a solo traveller :)
Keep up the travelling!
In my year of travel, I encountered a lot of the above mentioned points. While I was already quite mindful at home I notice that I lost the time and days in my long traveling. One time I even lost the month. It did not matter and the days kept counting on. Today was today and most of the days I did not think about tomorrow. I am mostly living in the moment, without thinking about tomorrow. I think that gave my soul the ultimate peace and mindfulness. I can definitely find myself in your point! Anyway, now I am slowly getting back to normal lifestyle here in the Philippines :) Hope I can travel again with you somewhere Bel!
Love,
Sha
What a great post from you @bellatravelph! We can inspire other travelers to fulfill their bucket lists!
For me, it is my great escape from this stressful world that life has brought me.
For this year, I have a lot of travel goals to be fulfilled! Hopefully.. hehe (fingers crossed).
Solo travel over several years has given me the headspace to get clear on lots of stuff that would have kept confusing me had I been sitting behind a desk.
Good post 👍
I like this post. And this a good picture
I will be travelling out of country next week but Oh I will miss Cebu! I can't wait to be back already though. I'll try to document what I can and share the experiences here in steemit.
That's great @ablaire, enjoy your trip!
This is very true. Life begins when you step out of your comfort zone!
A really nice article made a good choice my dear friend
Very interesting topic. Traveling really relieves a lot of miseries in life. It is a natural remedy for depression which a lot of people are experiencing. A lot people that travel is expensive, but it just depends on how you enjoy the place. Having a ME TIME.
good your post friend. I like you.
You list down all the things I learned from travelling. I totally agree to everything you just said specially this part
I was scared of travelling on my own before so I started going on trips with my friends first to get the hang of it. And over a year ago, I decided to go solo backpacking in Myanmar. It definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone. It was worth the experience and I'm glad I did it.
It’s absolutely true, talking to locals and even just observing them will able us to understand others from different walks of life. Keep motivating people @steemph.cebu
this is one of my goal too , to travel around the world and take some photos to interesting places and food and want to know about different cultures!
i want to share my experience to all our fellow steemians that our world is full of beauty and wonder!
thanks for sharing this post!
upvoted it!
Traveling teaches you a lot of things. I truly agree. I have travelled to places with my fiancé. It definitely strengthened our relationship. Traveling takes you out of your comfort zone and when that happens, you see the person’s personality. :) In the process, you create memories that lasts you a lifetime ^___^
i totally agree! and there's more... thanks for this, it inspired me to write about travel blog again...
Great post, I really enjoyed reading it!
Great points, I think the spontaneity of travel lends it these qualities. I can see most places on the internet or read about them, but unless I'm there I'm not exposed to the events of the area from a peculiar wind or new dialects and animals to huge cultural events. Impossible to take in unless it's in person!
inspired by this, so i wrote a travel blog entry. check it here: Puerto Princesa
Normally I do most of my traveling in the United States on a bike, but recently, I’ve begun a two month adventure in Guatemala and Mexico. What’s been even more foreign than that, is that I've been traveling with a partner- and she’s paying for it all.
And that my friend, has been way more of a difficulty than I expected! My girlfriend (who I’ve been dating for about four months) is also my business partner. Our entire adventure is a business trip, and she has decided to “invest” in me, and pay for it all. Mainly, because I couldnt raise enough money in time.
Add in some unwanted expenses, technical difficulties, frustration, and... limited funding.
What you get, is an enormous opportunity for self development.
Being a workaholic whose work hasn’t paid off yet, while being a financial burden on my partner, puts me in ripe grounds for some deep shadow work.
Feelings of not being good enough, especially when I don’t speak Spanish or have any personal cash to work with, while over 1000 miles away from home, sucks.
But I’m learning.
And sometimes you have to feel it to heal it.
After all, breakdowns lead to break throughs.
I thought my personal development would come in the form of getting out of my comfort zone, and talking to people in spanish. I had know clue it would leave me so distraught, as I fight off my inner demons.
Whatever the case- lessons are blessings, and I’ve learned more on the road than ive ever learned in a classroom. So I’m into it.
But dam!
Shit just got real.
