It's kind of like going to a restaurant solo. It's a risk/reward scenario, and you just don't know if you'll be greeted by a cool sample of people and circumstances or a lame one. I guess you could also take the perspective that it doesn't matter who's around you as long as you have the right state of mind. But I do think you can run into lucky circumstances that make your experience amazing
