Known to be the heaviest golden Buddha in the world. 5,500 kilograms!! Hidden from the world until 1955. Before 1955 the gold was hidden under a layer of concrete. During a movement, the statue fell and a piece of the gold was then shown. The temple (Wat Traimit) can be found in China Town so it's nice to visit the temple first and then wander around in China Town afterwards. O yes, it is in Bangkok ;)
