Xiamen, also called Egret Island, is the capital city of Fujian Province. It is an important city, port and a tourist city in China. Xiamen has left me the impression of sunshine and beaches. The coastline is surrounded by high-rise buildings. This is a city with the combination of gorgeous scenery and modernization. Together with one of my friends, I went to Xiamen in summer. Fortunately, at that time the typhoon had passed before we arrived. Although it is so hot in summer, yet it still does not stop us enjoying the beauty of Xiamen.

厦门，别称鹭岛，是福建省的省辖市，是中国重要的中心城市、港口、风景旅游城市。厦门带给我的印象一直都是阳光沙滩，高楼大厦围绕着海岸线，是一个集海滨美景与现代化的城市。我是和一个朋友去的厦门，由于时间关系，当时是夏季前往，但幸运的是台风在我们去之前就过去了。虽然时值盛夏，但依然不影响我们享受厦门的美。

In order to improve the experience of this travel, we decided to take the train to Xiamen. It took us 33 hours to go there. After getting off, we dragged our luggage to my friend's sister's, physically and mentally exhausted. (Thanks to her sister, we lived in her house for few days, which saved us a lot of money). After a restful night, we were full of energy and began our the long-awaited trip to Xiamen.

为了增加旅游体验感，我们决定坐火车去厦门。33个小时的卧铺让我们拖着行李身心疲惫地赶往朋友的姐姐家里（很感谢她姐姐的借住，这为我们省下不少经费）。经过一晚的休息，我们以饱满的精神去看看向往已久的厦门。

Gulangyu Island 鼓浪屿

Gulangyu is one of the most famous attractions in Xiamen, so it becomes our first destination. Gulangyu is a small island. The only way to get there is to take the ferry. In order to take the boat, we waited for half an hour. To our surprise, this place is worthy of a visit.

厦门最出名的景点还要数鼓浪屿，所以它是我们首选的地点。鼓浪屿是一个小岛，所以通往它的唯一方式是轮渡，为了乘坐轮船我们排了半小时的队，幸运的是鼓浪屿的一切是值得我们付出的。

What attracted us most was not its gorgeous scenery but its delicious food.

岛上最先吸引我们的不是风景而是美食。

This milk tea shop is recommended on the Internet. I like its style and the milk tea tastes great.

网上极力推荐了这家奶茶店，很喜欢它的风格，味道也很不错。

The panorama of Sunlight Rock has come into my sight.

映入眼帘的是日光岩的全景

Inside this Piano Museum, there are various clavichord, which come from different countries.

钢琴博物馆馆内有许多古老的钢琴，它们来自各个国家。

Standing on the top of Sunlight Rock, you can have a good view of the gorgeous scenery.

站在日光岩顶部，海滨风光尽收眼底。

This is where we lived. The flowers on the wall added to its romantic atmosphere.

我们在岛上的住所，满壁的花朵充满浪漫气息。

Before leaving, we went to a shop to write a postcard to ourselves with best wishes.

离开岛屿之前，我们还去了明信片店写下对未来的自己的美好祝愿。

Dadeng Island 大嶝岛

Dadeng Island is located in the Xiang'an District, Xiamen, opposite Kinmen,Taiwan, with its closest distance of 1,800 meters. This island is much quieter than Gulangyu and very suitable for vacation. Although it is not such famous，yet scenery is not inferior in any respect.

大嶝岛位于厦门市翔安区，对面便是台湾的金门岛，与其最近距离为1800米。大嶝岛较鼓浪屿更为清净，很适合想要度假的朋友。虽然它的名气不大，但其风景却毫不逊色。

Opposite the Island is Kinmen, Taiwan.

对面便是台湾金门岛。

It is much closer to Kinmen.

离金门岛更近了！

On each side of the road is dried fish.

路的两旁是渔民晒好的鱼干。

This banyan tree has hundreds of years and is also called Wishing Tree.

岛上的百年大榕树，也被人们作为许愿树。

Xiamen University 厦门大学

Xiamen University is known as the most beautiful university in China, where the environment is beautiful. Mountains and water surrounded, it is located in the south of Xiamen. The seaside is gorgeous enough to feast our eyes. I am so envious of students in there.

厦门大学被称为中国最美大学，这里环境优美，依山傍水，它位于厦门岛南端，海滨风光秀色可餐，真实羡慕厦大的学子！

The last day of our trip, we went to Xiamen University.

最后一天上午我们去了厦门大学。

This is the most beautiful place of this university. Some students reading books can be seen beside the lake.

这是厦大最美的地方---大丰园，不少学子会在湖畔边温书。

I was wandering on the campus.

漫步在厦大校园。

The three sights above are the places that I think are worthy of a visit. This Six-day trip to Xiamen is enough for me to feel the coastal city. If you ask me how it is in there, I will answer that Xiamen is a romantic and warm place. Especially for the friends who like the sea, Xiamen can be included in your list.

以上三个景点是我认为最值得推荐的，六天的厦门行足以让我感受厦门这个海滨城市。若问我它到底是怎样的地方，我会回答：厦门是个即浪漫又温情的地方，尤其是喜欢海的朋友，厦门值得你来！
