There are 5 story stone pagoda and the stone lantern in front of Mireuk-jeon which is the main building in Murynag-sa temple.
Those stone structures are believed to be built in Goryeo dynasty. It means those structures have more than 1000 years of history
Even though the pagoda seemed to be made in Goryeo dynasaty, it had some traces of Baekjae pagoda style.
The area where the temple is located in seemed to be the central part of Baekjae dynasty.
So the skills and the crafts seemed to have been survived until they made the stone pagoda.
The appearance of that pagoda in Muryang-sa was similar to that of Jeonglim-sa temple which had been ruined for a long time ago.
Actually the pagoda of Jeonglim-sa temple had been made several hundred years ago, it looked more balanced and excellent to the pagoda of Muryang-sa temple.
The stone lantern is said to be made in Goryeo dynasty like the stone pagoda.
The stone lantern is not like to that of Beopjoo-sa temple which had been built after the unification of Korea by Shilla dynasty.
I already had introduced the stone lantern of Beopjoo-sa temple in previous posting.
But in general, the stone lantern and the pagoda looked suit very well with the main building, Mireuk-jeon.
Artistry the stone pagoda

Green coloring trees and shades give outstanding looks to those structures of temple. Also oldest history indeed here. Nice to see every structures preserve yet without any destroying. It will more important to show future generation. Thanks for better description and professional photo clicks.@slowwalker, It's gorgeous to see five stone pagoda and stone lantern in

The old pagoda looks so wonderful to me! I think it happens due to yellow color of it! It made a wonderful photography with that nature! In my country pagoda has a different style! Most of them looks like a bubble! We call it as "Bubbulakara"! But in your country they got a different style!@slowwalker,

It seems that those who made the temple created the pagoda using the Baekjae dynasty.
The flashlight is very pretty, it seems to me that it is a little dropped to the side like the one you published a few days ago, but the design does not stop being very nice!
@slowwalker I'm doing the challenge that is called #inktober to make drawings daily throughout this month, according to the daily list today, the word "Angular" and I remembered some of the temples that you have placed where you talk about the cornerstone in the temples.
Looking from a distance it seems like the 5 story stone pagoda made of wood, because of separate stones that were placed vertically, but coming closer you realize that they are stone made. I believe that if it would be wooden one it probably had been destroyed by weather and rain and could not survive till nowadays. The basis of stone lantern is done with much love to details, they both in front of such magnificent building look amazing :)
It's so amazing that people built this beautiful stone Pagoda 1,000 years ago so preciously without any advanced tools!
Awesome photos!
Still going strong with your awesome photos. It's always great to drop in and check out your posts after all this time :)
Well yes agreed they do suit with the Main building. I do like the pattern of the Building very much.
The Main building is indeed really beautiful and moreover the Stone Lantern does really looks quite great.
Thousand years history in front of us.
Thank you for your correction.
