As walking into the temple, I encountered several groups of Buddhas.
One of family buddha was stood on the ground by the way to the temple.
Others were placed under the cliff.
It was really interesting to see their faces and expressions.
As though it looked like Buddha at first, but as you looked at them carefully, you could find out their faces were as same as those of our neighbors.
Each group of buddhas seemed to have their specific atmosphere.
Those characteristics looked like to be made intentionally, a guide explained this temple would be a training place for masonry.
But I could not agree with their interpretation. In my guess, the sculptures were carved with intentionally. Their faces looked so simple, but there seemed too much consistency in those sculptures, in my guess.
@slowwalker,

I like your explanation than the common one! They intentionally did this and yeah little uncommon to see such large number of sculptures at a one place!
Great photography and travel tip for all of us!
Cheers~
Great collections!!!!
Interesting! Beautiful sculptures. Thanks for sharing. Maybe that should be my next destination to travel :D !
These several groups of budhas are so serene, I mean the sculptures seems so neatly arranged expecially the one on the cliff really, their faces like you said looks so simple and amazing, it was beautiful seeing the variety, the side and the different facial expressions.
Hello sir @slowwalker, very enjoy your journey there. One lesson I took here the oldest people gave creativity to the field of religion, but sometimes today people are bound by religious doctrine and cannot create art and creativity.
So many interesting things to explore!

@slowwalker, You are so careful with the face and expression of the statue of Sidharta Gautama. Though for people, their faces are no different. That shows you have understood and memorized their expressions.
From this post we can become more familiar with ancestral cultural heritage.
Thank you @slowwalker for this interesting photo
Warm regard from Indonesia
Beautiful family groups photography. I think you are awesome photographer
wondering you are living in Korea? ^^
@slowwalker, Absolutely stunning scenery you created my mind through your walking moment's photo clicks. There are several buddha statues built. Korean Buddhism history had amazing architecture techniques. Simply made but meaning was high.
Seeing those pictures, I just recalled the statues on Easter island. Nowadays we just guessing why people made them and what they mean. Do you also think that may be many years in future, someone will wonder what those people thought when they created those Buddha families :)
Good to look into this thanks for sharing about this place history and sharing amazing shots
Congratulations @slowwalker!
