This is the Moray Salt Mines in Peru and people have been extracting salt here from the Inca times. There are about 3000 salt fields each about 5 sqm. You can walk along the ledges of the salt field and watch the locals working and see how they collect the salt and then carry the bag fulls to be processed. Definitely an experience that I won't forget, especially since I have a bag to salt at home from my trip.
