We left Olango Island via Angasil port at 8:00 AM and paid 15.00 for the pump boat fare. We witnessed a big waves, not as big as what you think right know while we were traveling to the Island. There are are 2 take off points going to Olango Island, First is the Angasil which is near portofino beach resort, second is the Movenpick. Fares at Angasil is only 15 pesos per person while the Movenpick 15 pesos, I guess.

At the Olango side there are tricycle on queue and we paid 20.00 for us to be able to go in the house of Regla, she is a friend of mine.
Trip to Olango is a short 18 or 20 minutes ride away. You can negotiate but I think they have standard rates to certain areas. They seemed all kind and friendly in a way that makes other people feel comfortable. I'm just not too sure if it was because I was with Regla(My friend) and She mostly knows everyone there.

Before lunch we go to Shalala beach and it was a Scenic and beautiful surroundings. And this place were Regla and his friend met again. A friend of Regla is very nice because he bring us food to the house of Regla's auntie where we stayed for the meantime. We eat "puso" a rice wrapped in coconut leaves and "Lechon"a roasted suckling pig . We practically enjoyed our lunch because it was free.

From Regla's Aunties house we then proceed to the Southern tip of the Island which is the bird sanctuary. But before that we in counter many failure but memorable moment happened. The side car we used fall in the small hole in the road.

Since it was January, we were told we can't see big crowds of the birds but we should be able to see a few. Take note too that bird watching should be done during low tide. The sanctuary is really a beautiful area. One can just easily walk around and sit and relax in one corner with swing.

We had a guide who brought binoculars for us and it was done of Regla's friend. We saw a good number of birds and it's amazing to known that some of these birds have come all the way from China. A friend of Regla told us that there are more starting in September when migratory birds start or arrive. Entrance to the sanctuary is 20 pesos per person, but 100 pesos for the Foreigner.

It was almost dark when we knocked off from the bird sanctuary and it was the time to go home. After returning to the house of Regla and Spending some time, we left Olango Island and this time. We choose again the route bound for Angasil which we paid 16.00 fare.

Overall, it was a short time well spent in Olango when we had the best time and interesting around the Island bonding with friends.
