Best way to learn to know a city? Eat the "local" food, the "street" food. What better place in London than to visit the famous Borough Market!
Lately there is a trend in Zurich Switzerland, where we live, of Streetfood Festivals ongoing. On our Facebook feed we see more and more such events, all around Switzerland. The variety though is not so diverse; a lot of burgers, and a lot of those usual asian dishes (fried rice, fried noodles and perhaps some spring rolls).
At Borough Market the choices are amazing! Alone the fresh and XXL Oysters can beat all the Streetfood Festivals in Switzerland. Ok ok, there is no Sea bordering Switzerland so it's hard for us to get fresh seafood, especially Oysters.
We also loved the dishes with Duck! Duck Sandwich, Duck Salad, Duck Wraps...you name it. And the Scotch Eggs...Scotch Eggs are incredible!!!
Covent Garden will be the next market we are going to visit. Very excited for this one! We heard Ben's Cookies are to die for.
Question of the day: What is your favourite place to eat?
