When Disney World and mass tourist attractions get old, Wikiva Springs State Park is a great place to check out in Central Florida!
We made some friends in the Aruba airport on our way back, who are here visiting Orlando this week.
There are 2 entrances and areas of the springs. One is at the mouth of the spring, which has a wide open area for swimming in the chilly 70° water.
The other is down stream and is called Wikiva Island, it has a bar with craft beers and "mango-rita" drinks, as well as a restaurant with tons of vegetarian options!
The Mango-rita!
Quesadillas, fried chicken and nachos!
Vegetarian philly cheese steak!
Basil pesto and parmesan french fries!
A word to the wise when visiting the springs, go early! By 10am on weekends there's already a huge line at both entrances.
We where pulling up right at 10am and as we turned off the main road we got dangerously cut off by a crazy driver. How funny that he got pulled over right in front of us at the entrance and we got the last parking spot!
Instant karma! 😄
Looks like a fun day. And if I can take a stand, this looks like way more fun than Disney! More fun and less of the stress and pressure that comes with a theme park. Go here in stead!
