Current Location - Colombia
My passport expires in May of 2018 and I'm almost all out of places for stamps. I will be doing a multiple part series of my previous travels to 5 continents where I was able to capture some of my most memorable scenes through a lens and now I would like to share these experiences with you . I hope you enjoy and this gets you bit by the travel bug so you can capture the best moments for you. All the pictures are taken by me or a friend who was with me at the time of snap. Please feel free to follow me as I share these beautiful locations with you all! There is so much beauty out there to see. Just think...
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. - Mark Twain
This experience would be a once in a life time for me. As a kid I would see this great wonder in books, then later in travel shows, and my goal was to see the wonder of the world, and I didn't think it would be this way. It was a two hour journey outside of Beijing and here we were, me and a friend, no guides, a few local near where we saw this sign.
A two hour hike up a steep hill with no one in site, we began following a noise we kept hearing loud clanks and banging on something. We run into this gentleman who was by himself working on the wall, he was aligning the stones on the wall. He would be our guide, but there was one problem, we did not understand each other one bit, he was excited to see us as we were him. Please enjoy the pics and feel free to make comments and ask questions.
As you can see, no one in site just us and our new friend. This was a dangerous section of the wall and why the gentleman was working on the wall stone by stone.
I know he was telling me great history of the wall and the area.
We did not want to go back the way we came, as it was a dangerous hike, so he knew we were lost. We were so lost, he signaled us to follow him, so we did.
With his tools in hand we knew we were going back to his village, and a much shorter and easier walk.
Along the way capturing the beauty.
In full conversation beginning to understand with gestures what he was telling me, and at the same time in aww on the surrounding beauty.
We arrive to his village, family and friends meet us, we eat, drink and were just some of the nicest people to offer so much to complete strangers.
Thank you for your time in reading this post and also letting me share this with you all.
