This castle is in Ponferrada, Spain. It was a fortress for the Knights Templar.
Me smoking a joint and contemplating paying to tour the castle.
This is the front near the tourist entrance.
This was the old well. There were a lot of coins inside. Most likely from modern tourists.
These windows were built like this to allow archers better protection.
This is just a walkway along the castle.
The spiral staircases were steep and dangerous.
This is the top of the tower that the steps led up to.
Another archer window
This is the courtyard in center of castle.
These are some stone balls and siege equipment. I would assume it is reproductions.
After leaving I found a kebab stand appropriately named King Kebab.
One of my friends was there already. He was eating a Donar Kebab.
I had a decent falafel kebab.
I had a really good time touring this castle. If you are ever in Ponferrada I suggest you visit.
Here are some various pictures from inside the castle museum.
