Travel to Paradise Thailand - Part 1 🌴

Hi fellow Steemitians! This is my first post, of many to come, about my recent trip to Thailand with my fiance. Why did I write 'many' ? Because there is so much to talk about that beautiful country that I will probably get banned if I crunch it all in one go :D So you might think of this is a series of my adventures in Thailand!

Early in 2017 I decided to propose to my gf, but the truth is I didn't know how to "pop the question", so I sat down and gave it some thought. I didn't want to do it the old fashion way with a bottle of wine, roses everywhere the apartment, or some other cheesy way like paying a bucket load of money so a airplane with a sign "marry me" would fly over for 10 seconds...heck no! The very first thought I had was I wanted to do it on a beach, somewhere far, somewhere sunny! We didn't have any vacation plans, so there I was searching online for the most beautiful beaches and Thailand was at the top!

Later that day I suggested to my gf that we should travel somewhere far, now to give you a quick info, we live in Serbia, and although Europe has a lot of nice beaches, it's not as beautiful as Thailand's white sandy shores! Her picks where, Egypt, Greece etc, but I suggested Thailand and she flipped on me saying that I'm "nuts" and "It's going to cost us a fortune" blah blah....I never listed to her, I made up my mind and said my wish is to see Thailand, so I showed her the pictures and after a few nodding heads she gave in! 'BIGNO' got her :D Now at the time as I drooled at the pictures I never consider it will cost us that much, boy was I wrong! We both have good paying jobs, but ether way the cost was not something we where prepared for.

After months of planning, saving and eating noodles like the good old college days, we finally saved up enough money to pay the trip in full! We booked a 14 day ( 13 nights ) at a nice hotel in Phuket ( Thailand ) in November of 2017! We where happy and my plan was in motion! Day before the trip we started packing and getting a little nervous because for us this is the first time we where traveling this far and this long. We had 3 flights two stops, Belgrade - Abu Dhabi - Bangkok - Phuket. As we thought was our flight plan, boy where we scammed! Our first flight was alright, we slept most of the trip and had free movies to watch the whole time. When we arrived we had approximately one hour to get to the next plane, we thought no problem, plenty of time. Yea, hmm....little that we knew Abu Dhabi's airport is a freaking city to it'self and walking from one gate to the other takes time. So heck we started running like idiots to the second gate until a desk manager stopped us mid way to ask us if we are going to Bangkok, after catching our breaths and confirming that we are, he just nodded his head and said something that made my fiance cry her heart out.
