This brings back so many memories, especially this photo:

Although I can't remember Badplaas all that well, we went there when I must've been like 4 or 5. Some of my best childhood memories come from family holidays to resorts like these in South Africa: Buffelspoort , Die Eiland (Rustenburg I think?) Kloof (also Rustenburg?) even Warmbad Aventura a few years ago.

Trampolines, swimming, ice cream, braais, and then taking part in all the activities they had for the kids during the holidays. Also, the animals. Baboons causing chaos with the bins and rubbish, vervet monkeys coming into the house to steal food, and watching squirrels play. I am very fond of these memories as they literally take me to a place just before I started realizing how complex and challenging life can be. These were the typical holidays where "ouma" came with, etc. So awesome, thank you for the nostalgia!
