G'day,
Well at the moment I'm holed up in an apartment in Fortaleza Brazil, I'll be here for another 4 weeks before i go back home to New Zealand for a 3 month 'how ya going/wow look at that' tree adventure. I'm using this stationary time to work on some other projects and do some alt-coin crypto trading while the market is stable and rangebound (Isn't it a great time for flipping?).
I'm feeling the need to share some stuff with the Steem world, so here is a light hearted post. A small whack of photos of public signs from Japan i took in 2017, which i found amazing. Some are wierd, some whacky and some just didn't quite translate properly. I took over 40 vlog videos and thousands of photos while I was in Japan and have never shared it online, so they're going to slowly start to see the light of the blockchain.
Just a funny self-stick sign, i love the comics of the electrocutions

The text is small, but read what these signs say. I found it hilarious but also very insightful how the authorities really drill proper behaviour into the citizens. The sign is about smoking while walking and also texting and walking
More funny cartoons, whats with the guy watching? Is he calling SoS because she fell onto the tracks?
Normal/Interesting
The Japanese people were the most polite society I've come across. More signs for social-engineering. The cartoon in the bottom right was about helping tourists "May i help you"
Now I never debunked this theory, but I was talk it was illegal to dance in Japan. But the law just turned a blind eye to it
Sometimes things just didn't quite translate!
Another one of these smokers signs. "Don't smoke in a crowd, new coats are expensive" Even the detail of the cartoon are hilarious, the hole in the coat etc
Drones banned...
Nothing to laugh at here, Snakes be careful!
Danger! Snakes.... No self sticks!!
???
The running guy was a iconic sign in Osaka
Sometimes there wasn't in English, I don't know what this was but I wanted to go!
Danger Bears... and selfie-sticks!
At the aquarium
*Elevator etiquette, everything there needed a cartoon explaination.
Righto, that's all I could dig up. Enjoy!
If you speak Japanese, would be cool if you could tell me what the sign with the old guy eating was all about!
Bye for now
Riche
Haha, I love weird signs!
Interesting! I was also going through my photos from Japan for my latest article and I saw a warning sign from Nara saying "beware the deers", because of their abundance in the area. Japan has a very interesting culture and this is well-reflected in their culture.
