Wow, this is one of the most amazing places I've been on our beautiful planet! It is a valley in southern Switzerland called Valle Verzasca.
That water is beautiful but freezing cold. The water comes from a glacier in the Alps. I even visited in summer but it was still freezing cold! The water is a jade green colour. It's the most beautiful water I've ever seen up there with the tropical water surrounding some Thai islands.
I'm going to let the photos do most of the talking on this blog. A picture is worth a thousand words and my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with camera on highest picture quality settings did a fantastic job of capturing the beauty of Valle Verzasca.
The 4 photos below are of the most popular part of the river for swimming and diving. There is a beautiful double-arched bridge called Ponte dei Salti (Bridge of Jumps). I'm not sure if you're allowed to jump from the bridge, but plenty of people were jumping from the huge rock. Although the bridge is referred to as a Roman bridge, I found evidence that it was actually built in the 1700's. Perhaps it is known as a Roman bridge because its other name is Ponte Romano (Roman Bridge).
Definitely be careful swimming here as there are hidden dangers! Look at the whirlpools that can form and read about the other dangers.
To end this blog, here's a photo of the valley and a photo of some little village houses with a mountain as a backdrop.
I hope you enjoyed my photos and description of Valley Verzasca. I appreciate every single upvote and comment from all of you! :)
