Covering an area of just about 120 square miles, Malta, one of the world’s smallest countries, is an archipelago comprising of seven islands located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea.
Yet, despite its miniature size, Malta boasts of enormous amount of both natural and historical sites which makes it one of the prime tourist destinations in Europe.
I spent six months in this wonderful place and here are some photos I took there.
Incredible turquoise waters of the Blue Lagoon at the Maltese island of Comino
View of the lagoon from the island with tropical vegetation in foreground
Ferry connecting the islands of Malta (main island) and Gozo
Ramla Beach famous for its iconic red sand, Gozo Island
Rotunda of Mosta
Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta Pinu, a Roman Catholic church on Gozo
Azure Window, iconic Maltese landmark that, unfortunately, collapsed into the sea last year :(
I will post more photos and share more information about this amazing country in my future posts so if you are interested in that, feel free to follow me :)
Safe travels guys!
