The small town of Jardin is one of the most beautiful pueblos in Colombia and has remained unchanged for more than a century. It's 4 hours to the south of Medellin if traveling by car or 5 hours by bus due to stops. The small pueblo preserved and has the feel of colonial times. It has awesome striking mountain views and lush green, garden filled landscapes.
To get to Jardin you must travel through the mountains, passing by small pueblos. I tried finding an atm machine while traveling to Jardin and the town people laughed at me because they knew I was from the City. FYI bring CASH!!!!
Let me tell you if you need to use a restroom PLEASE BRING TOILET PAPER !!!!! You will not find a restaurant with toilet paper. You will also have to pay to use the restaurant. It will usually cost 1,000 pesos equivalent to 33 cents USD.
The Jardin Church is eye dropping. Everything inside is made out of Gold. Very beautiful. The town has the feeling that you traveled back in time as you see people riding horses and mostly everything is walking distance. You can buy food from the vendors on the street or ask the police officers as they can guide you to the best restaurants in Jardin. Please enjoy the pictures and keep this town in mind when traveling to Colombia!!!
