Hi fellow Steemers.
I wanna share a lil' bit of my roadtrip to Norway with you! :)
i hope you will enjoy some of the pictures i captured along the road towards Norway.
So it all started back in August this year, I was trying to figure out where I wanted to spend my summervacation. I wanted to something new, something else than just boarding a plane, sitting there for 3/4 hours ending up at a hotel, being lazy at the pool, perhaps zippin' way too many drinks.
So i decided to put together an vacation which included somekind of physical interaction, that was when the thoughts of Norway came to my mind. If you look on the internet, the nature of Norway is SO STUNNING BEAUTIFUL! so many scenic places, but if you want to visit them all, I can tell you, you need more than 1 week.
so I gathered my own expedition, my youngest brother and my friend Kim.
We planned that we wanted to go to the VERY northern top of Norway.... BUT our GPS screwed it all up, and the trip would take like.... " ages " a little exaggaration ladies and gents, but you get the point.
BUT, we packed my 2016 Toyota Aygo, 3 well grown guys, and all the equipement we needed for the trip, which was pretty much :P
I was the first assigned driver, starting point was Sillerslev, denmark... i drove for 16 hours straight, no rest, no sleep, I wish i had a picture of my eyes, red as blood.
In Sweden we had our first stop, to get some sleep.! We stopped at a place called Ädö,
the weather was DARN good ! after a nice can of Ravioli and a nap, we drove from our camp.
It was getting dark, the need for caffeine was alarming, PIT STOP, we needed to make coffee. we stopped at this nice quiet place, near a lake.
CAFFEINE check! and we were on the road again, Norway was close to us now.
I,ll just put a series of pictures up here, without that much description, please enjoy, of course I'am the photographer.
All of the pictures might look a little blurry, they're from my Instagram profile.
I dont know about you guys, but i really like the nature of Norway, so majestic.
One of the most craziest things I've experienced was, a looooong tunnel that went 21/26km through a mountain, it included 2 roundabouts ! check this out!
we got a bit hungry after all these beautiful spots.
we went to Loen, to visit Loen Skylift! A lift that transports you 1km into the sky, ends at a mountain top, at the top, the Loen Skylift resturant is located...
A nice meal and a little rest on the mountain top, it was time to head to the MAIN ATTRACTION of the trip.. Trolltunga..
Our first hike ever, it took about 12 hours, 36km in rocky mountain terrain, NEVER EVER have my knees hurt that much, BUT it was worth it all...
After we got down from the mountain, we packed our stuff, and drove 17 hours to get back home..
thats all for now.
Cya all ;)
