A VERY relaxing place in Bangladesh

If you are expecting Southern Thailand, you will be disappointed most certainly.

However.... if you want a wide strand of beach complete with umbrellas and lounge chairs and food vendors and lots of activities, then you will completely enjoy it.

As others have reviewed, if you are NOT S. Asian, you will attract a lot of attention. I recommend men and women to come relatively covered up as that is the local culture. Anyone thinking to wear revealing clothes would just be inviting gawkers

People WILL come up and just start to talk to you... it can get overwhelming. But remember, you are meeting others who are just on holiday as well and they find it quite exotic to meet a foreigner.

People might take your photo. Before you get offended and angry, think how many "interesting" people YOU have photographed in your travels. If you don't like the feeling, I would suggest you stop photographing others as well....

The beach is AMAZINGLY clean ... and it is wide!

The water is rather turbid and not clear. Anyone saying it is clean is ignoring the raw sewage flowing into it from the hotels and buildings nearby.

It is definitely worth a trip to Inari beach south of the main beach to see the next up and coming "beach zone" The beach is so vast at low tide, it almost seems like a desert!

Take note... not many trees along the beach. Take sunscreen or some kind of protection.

Overall, it was my favorite place in Bangladesh!
