Is the appetizer what we call at Greece halvas(χαλβάς). With almonds, how you call that at English btw?
Nope, it was an orange cake. And the drink was a triple distilled Irish whiskey. Both were exquisite!

The glass threw me off as to what it was for sure but I was thinking it was whiskey.
That's not bad at all. I wine and some food... but I don't hope you have to spend the night on the airport... it's lookin great by the way.. last week I was in Wroclaw in Poland.. Also a new airport which is beautifull.. on your way to..let me gues.. Loutraki?

sorry, saw the glass and my mind switched to wine.. but indeed a strange color for wine... but maybe it's a local wine... ( and I am not a wiskey drinker)

Be careful with this. Once my flight was delayed for 11 hours and I had time to get drunk. I was lucky that my friends constantly called to me, preventing sleep :)

hehe, I used to have a senator class with Lufthansa and "star-alliance" way back when and tanti anni fa... but I can still relate all the way to the notion :-) hoping all of your travells will go safe and fine and you'll always have the perfect glass of whiskey... Zagreb, i still miss to visit it, i studied croatian one year i miss it too, my teacher was from ZAgreb, i want to visit it one day ^^

Yes, I have changed my attitude. Instead of resenting the time I have to spend waiting in airports I now think of it as time to relax and enjoy watching people.

It is a beautiful airport. And the massage chairs in the lounge are something else. Best I've ever seen.

It is a wonderful city. Lots of museums, markets, cathedrals, restaurants. Good transportation, great new airport, interesting grave yard. Lots to do and see.
