Made it to the Gulf of Mexico

in #travel7 years ago

The plan was to head north but the weather looked less than appealing so we headed south instead.

It was only a short 4 hour drive and we were set up and able to walk around and check things out before dinner.

The only fly in the ointment was a cut cable to the trailer. We stopped at three businesses and no one was able to fix it so the hubby will do it himself.

We were lucky enough to snag a full week reservation. I can't wait to explore the area and find a dog friendly beach.

Now for the next.

Wow love your unit and the pickup pulling it! Very cool and entirely impractical for the roads here in the UK, which just makes it cooler! Enjoying your posts and looking forward to seeing more!

I'm finding the rig may be a little impractical for some places here, in the 'lower 48'! We bought this set up with Alaska in mind, the trailer is built for off road and cold temperatures. The truck has 4 wheel drive, I thought we were invincible :) Down here we have run into a couple of tight spots and not every gas station can accommodate us. The U.S. does seem to have better access to dump sites though, I don't envy your search for them. How are you settling into your new lifestyle?
