Today in Barcelona

in #travel7 years ago

Last year I would have had to hire a cab to take me from Barcelona Estacion Nord, to my hostal, but this year, with less weight to tote and more fortitude, I made the 32 minute walk, that was closer to an hour, including a wrong turn.

I rarely arrive in a city within the normal check-in hours of the hotel I've reserved. It's okay when I'm late, but early it's a problem - for me. Regardless of how tired I am or how badly I need a shower, if the room's not ready I have to find something to keep me busy and awake until a room becomes available.

Today I found my way to some familiar spots from my last visit which was in November 2016.

Barcelona was chosen in hopes of catching up with (i suppose) my x-friend Cat Lady. I'd hoped to continue a tradition of meeting up when I'm in town, but... guess not.

Oh well. We'll always have Biar.

The full wrap up of this day well come later, these are just some notes for my small group of interested readers.

Cheers and thank you.

PS: I've been doing more and more Steemit posts from my phone it seems strange to me somehow, but it's quick. It's not as thorough as on the comp, but it's quick.

Five more hours on Barca... better get prepped.

travelling is the best way to know about the world. when you travel more and more you knowing about the world more and more. so i think its make you rich about the world knowledge

I guess the weather there in Barcelona is quite pleasant. U look quite fresh and jovial. Yellow hanky over head and Tees complement your personality. Njoy your trip!

Good to hear!
"with less weight to tote and more fortitude, I made the 32 minute walk",
So it has both monetary and health benefits.
