Today my partner and I departed Minneapolis to enjoy some much needed adventure away from the city. This is the first time we’ve been on the road since the pandemic started. We normally don’t use our vehicle too much as we’d rather walk or bike to our destinations, however, we’ve filled our gas tank a total of three times this year. Truly living our best lives in that regard!
Madeline Island is where our temporary home will be for the next few days. We were looking for something relatively quiet and a place that wouldn’t have a terrible amount of people. So far, it’s very quiet, the scenery is gorgeous. We even have a chicken roost on premise which contains about two dozen very chatty neighbors!
Weekend Goals
I haven't been on an actual vacation in about two years. Due to my freelance-esque setup, it’s sort of hard to truly peel away from the computer. This weekend, I’m hoping to immerse myself in a few hobbies:
- I’d like to post some beats/noise/music to DSound. I will be utilizing a Digitakt and iPad.
- Take some photos and video using a GoPro Fusion
- Tackle my reading list; including How Fascism Works, Ultra Violet Grasslands and Space Riders Vol 1 and 2
- Outdoor stuff: Kayaking, Biking, Running
That's about it! Time to go kick back after a long day of driving!
