Tara (146 km) is a river in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which flows into my country at Scepan field and makes the Drina river with another river (Piva). This river is famous for its canyon which is 1.333 m deep, making it the deepest canyon in Europe. After the canyon of the Colorado river, this canyon is the second in the world, which makes these three countries proud.
The canyon of this river, as well as its larger part, is protected by UNESCO as part of the Durmitor National park. The Durmitor mountain makes more masses that are higher than 2000 m. This mountain is famous for its glacial lakes, which in fact represent the ice lakes. In addition to this canyon, there are three more canyons in the National park. Durmitor itself is significant as a tourist destination and is very visited due to its natural beauty.
Tara is also called the "heart of Europe", given its natural wealth and thanks to its clear and drinking water.
This river is ideal for rafting and fishing, as well as a break in nature. Tara is one of the best destinations for dealing with extreme sports. When it comes to rafting, it runs from May to October and at that time the canyon is the most visited during the year. Then all those who want to have fun and experience an unforgettable experience come .. Tara has about 100 km of flows that can be used for rafting, with many saying that the lower part of the stream is much more interesting and exciting, but I did not have the opportunity to make sure ...
What enchanted me is the bridge at Djurdjevic Tara, 365 meters long, built for three years ... however, I saw him only in passing and I'm very sorry about that. So I hope that he is my next destination.
