Why I moved to Singapore (2015)

in #travel8 years ago

Hi there!

So here is my version of Singaporean living. I was 17 when I permanently left my home country and moved to Singapore alone. Well it's for the main purpose of getting into my college which requires me to stay for a year in Singapore.

Prior to 2015, I have lived in Singapore for a few months as my dad worked for Singapore Airlines so it's not a new country for me. But little did I know, loads have changed! It's still pretty expensive tho but you can see that Singapore is just pure perfection. Everything is so efficient - from transportation to shopping malls! The culture is so different - mainly Chinese, Indian and Malaysian. This makes the food really amazing, Nasi Lemak and Sieu Mai would always top my list. I'd recommend Attica or F Club for nightouts (LADIES NIGHTS ON WEDNESDAYS!). Pulau Ubin is for the adventurous people who would love to explore an island by cycling and McRichie treetop walk is always a good choice for a hike in the middle of the city! Bugis is a good place for cheap but pretty items for fashion and souvenirs as well.

Singapore will always remain to be one of my favorite countries - hawker centres, nightouts are hella expensive but really fun, traveling to other southeast Asian countries is so easy, people were really nice, really safe, really convenient and SO CLEAN.

So yeaaaah, if you ask me if I wanna go back, I honestly want to move back! Fingers-crossed.
