The nice Iranian and how we found a ship

We had a looong flight to Vancouver, really long. And while I liked the entertainmant a lot, mum had a very uncomfortable time. You have to know that she is making my brother. She has been doing so for a while, but she says it will still take much longer. And because my brother is inside her, she always has to use the restroom a lot. That means this guy next to dad always had to get up to let us go to the bathroom. After a while we thought he might get annoyed by that, because sometimes dad even had to wake him up. But that wasn't the case at all. He was very gentle and always smiled and actually seemed to care.

After a while he asked if mum was pregnant, and told us he knew because his wife had the same problems when she was. He told us not to worry and gave some hints on how to make the situation more comfy. We were happy to have such a nice neighbor and kind of surprised that a guy from Iran was so gentle and knew so much about women. Dad admitted he might have had the prejudice that iranian men are less caring about their women and not interested in participating in women-things like being pregnant. But now he knows he was very wrong, because we met this nice Iranian on the plane who knew so much about women and cared a lot.

After the flight to Vancouver we had to use the train and then the bus and then the ferry to get to Victoria. That took four hours and Mum was feeling bad all the time. She said we will fly directly to Victoria next time.

When we arrived we met my aunt and uncle and niece. My aunt is making a baby brother for my niece. She will be finished soon and has a very big belly.

The next day we went to the beach. There, a ship was lying in the sand on its belly. I have never seen that happen before.

A nice lady told us the sailing ship had been thrown on the beach during the last storm, about two weeks ago. And now the city had to take care of it, because once it is on the beach, it belongs to the city. We looked inside ship, where things were lying around everywhere.

Just one lamp was still straight, because it was built to be always straight.

There were maps on a table inside the ship, and I had a short rest in one of them.

After a while, a man came to us, and told us he had claimed the ship already. That means he told the city HE would move the ship off the beach. And if he does that, he can keep the ship. So it is like he found it and now it is his. Mum and dad didn't know it worked that way and where a little excited, because maybe one day they will find a ship, too!

But if the old owner wants the ship back, he can still get it. He has to pay the new owner all expenses, though. The man who claimed the ship didn't want that. He wanted the ship, not the money!
