Italy Day 1 Update - Rome

Well folks we're a little over halfway done with Day One of our trip to Italy and it has already been amazing. While the flight could have been better if the two guys sitting behind us had realized that everyone was trying to sleep while they thoroughly and loudly discussed every topic you can imagine, it was still a pretty confortable flight for 9 hours. I was even able to snap this pretty awesome pic from the plane window.

After landing we took a tourist bus to the Termini train station and then walked to our hotel to drop off our bags. I've gotta say, for having never been to Italy before I was real inpressed we found our way to the hotel on the first try (those of you who have been here I'm sure can understand the struggle of trying to figure out what street you are even on!).

After dropping our bags we did a little exploring...and by exploring I mean we got lost at first and somehow made our way to the German embassy (what's with all this German stuff for us lately, I kind of love it). Eventually we made our way back to Termini and were able to find out way to both the Trevi Fountain and unexpectedly the Pantheon. We were blown away by both and will be going back to the Trevi at night one of these next few nights. Hope you guys enjoy the pictures below, there will be more to come for sure!

P.S. For those of you waiting to see what's coming next, the only hint I can give you is the place we're going is home to a guy with an awesome hat ;)
