I went to Taiwan last week. Here are a few pointers when traveling there:
Buy the EZ Card for easier traveling. For 5 days, I used up 500TWD worth of credits.
Try the 3 Main Night Markets: Shilin, Raohe, and Ximen. (I found Ximen to be the best since it also contained a lot of stores for shopping). The food is really good.
- Go during the colder months. We went there and it was really hot. Average temperature is 37 degrees celsius. It made walking around harder but still bearable.
