In my first post I want to tell you about what sights of my country should visit the guests who came to relax.
In this post, Western Ukraine. The main highlight of this region is the mountain Carpathians.
In Ukraine, I personally visited several cities in which the Carpathians are located and remained wildly delighted with what I saw.
The first point from which my journey began was Mukachevo castle. The ancient architectural monument, an outstanding building style, will not leave indifferent connoisseurs of ancient sights. It is located 68 meters above sea level and offers a beautiful view of Mukachevo and the mountains from a bird's-eye view.
In the VII century, these territories were inhabited by tribes of white Croats. They built on the site of the castle first wooden fortification. But 300 years after the Croats, the Ugrians will come to the lands of Mukachevo. The army of the Hungarian kingdom will capture all Transcarpathia. And for almost a thousand years their descendants will live here.
A wooden castle, built no later than the 9th century, will eventually be strengthened with stone and then completely become stone. It will be the end of the XIV century. The time associated with the name of Prince Fedor Koryatovich. His monument today can be seen in the courtyard of the castle, and after holding the index finger, which glitters with already polished bronze, make a wish. I advise you to go on a tour of the castle to the end. You will learn many interesting facts from history.
The next place we visited was the Shipot waterfall in the town of Pylypets. When planning a summer walk, you can hope for an easy climb from the waterfall up to Polonina Borzhava. And it is worth the climb, because you can look at the Shipot from above, enjoy the mountain landscapes and collect plenty of blueberries in the valley. In the summer, kolybs work upstairs - not the temporary houses of Hutsul shepherds, of course, but small establishments offering tourists coffee and tea.
The waterfall is a famous tourist spot. Special bus tours from resorts and resorts in Transcarpathia and the Carpathian region are organized here. Currently there are built restaurants and snack bars. It is planned to build a ski lift in the area of the waterfall.
Every year, beginning in 1993, an informal festival is held near the waterfall, which is attended by representatives of the hippie culture.
I will not hide, that the most favorite place for me was the lake Synevir, which is located in the mountain Gimba. The second name is Sea Eye.
There are many legends and stories related to the lake. Many years ago, the mountains belonged to one earl, who had a beautiful daughter, Syne(blue). And she received this name thanks to blue eyes. Collecting flowers on the mountain slopes, seeing the shepherd Vir, who played on the pipe. So young people fell in love. Learning about this love, the girl's father ordered to kill Vir. The subordinates of the earl threw a huge stone on the guy. For a long time, the Syne was crying - creating lake, blue like her eyes, with a dome of that stone in the middle.
You cannot swim in the lake, so tourists are offered a boat, with the help of which you can get to a small island, which is located in the middle of the lake.On the shore, you can buy souvenirs and try a soupe of white mushrooms - a favorite dish of tourists.
The lake is located at 1000 meters above sea level and its maximum depth is 24 meters. Be sure to visit.
We are waiting for you in the Carpathians! Do not forget the camera and selfie stick;))
Прекрасная экскурсия. Красивые фото.
Я не думал, что Карпаты имеют такую высоту, думал, что максимум 300-400 метров.
