Marvelous Journey to Cambridge: First Experience in an International Flight

in #travel7 years ago

Right now my master Maxine is supervising me to write a journalist, a diary, if you would like to call it, of her coolest experience in Cambridge, UK.

It is the first time that Maxine has gone abroad and everything is new to her, except for the language, of course. She has never been aboard on such a big plane with 10 rows of seats and mini screens are equipped in front of each seat. About 11hours journey on the plane is really a big deal and worse still, a flight attendant has split little water on her laptop when encountering turbulence. Well, I have to say that Fast and Furious is a really good time killer. Enjoyed it on the plane, especially when turbulence happening and it felt like sitting in a 4D movie theater.

On the screen in front of the seat, a satellite map was shown to the passengers and it gave a helicopter view of the entire route of the air line. The aircraft has departed from Beijing and it has crossed Asia and Russia. Maxine got to realize that the territory of Russia was considerably vast because about 7-8 hours of the whole time were they flying above Russia.

It is a special experience to fly across the longitude because after flying for 11 hours you can still be exposed to sunlight. Maxine even saw a rainbow over the marshmallow-like cloud. She shared her finding with the English man seated right next to her. And when the aircraft entered the territory of England, they both got excited and the English man has told a lot to Maxine about the difference between China and the UK. When the plane entered London, one of the biggest cities in the world, it is of only 200 meters high above the ground and not only the skyline but also the sketches of every building of London can be seen clearly. Such a fascinating scenery and what a shame that she cannot take a photo.

To be continued...

(Maxine is exhausted now after a long walk in University of Cambridge and I'm suffered from jet lag and wanna sleep right away. )
