Visiting the Lovely City Of Vienna, Just For Sightseeing

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

Hello Friends. I came into Vienna, Austria last night by bus all the way from Belgrade. I was told that the journey will last for about 9 hours, but lasted for about 10/11 hours. Usually, I don't like travelling like this, spending half a day on the road. I would just take flight. Yes, I agree that flight is more expensive, but also the most convenient.

Why I didn't Fly from Belgrade

The way I love most to travel is by air, especially when the distance is long. Well, I have to play by rules of visiting the Schengen area, one of which is that I must enter into the country that issued me viza before any other of the 26 schengen countries in the European Union (EU) region. The Hungarian Embassy issued me viza, so I had to enter Hungary first. My journey to vienna was actually en route Budapest.

I will be sharing photos later today of my one day visit to Vienna. Haha...See you later!

Vienna is a very interesting city. I plan to post some of my photos of Vienna in the near future. Enjoy your holidays.

It is, @nenio. Wow! Didn't know that you've been there too. That's good! I would like to see your photos from Vienna. Thanks .

I hope that you enjoyed your holidays.

That sounds like a lot if hassle honestly :( I know how you feel though. I used to go by bus from Amsterdam to Berlin and back almost every month. By car it's about 7 hours, but by bus I generally was for 8 to 11 hours on the road!

Glad I moved to Berlin now so I don't need to travel 700km to see my girlfriend anymore - now she's right next to me in the house!

I've never been to Vienna but I'm sure it's beautiful out there.

I saw you're a biochemist. That's cool! My girlfriend is in chemistry as well!

Following you :D

Hi, @sjennon. Pleased to meet you first time on my blog. It was really a lot of hazzle for me travelling for hours unend by bus. Anyway, I had no choice, but to travel that way. Wow! Travelling from Amsterdam to Berlin and back by bus once every month was a big sacrifice for sake of your girlfriend. I'm happy that you are together now in Berlin. Guess what? I visited Berlin in 2012 and stayed there for 1 week on tour. It was quite interesting. I have lots of photos from my visit to Berlin. Yes, I'm a biochemist and it's good to know that your girlfriend is a chemist. Vienna is a city that I would love to visit over and over again. It's indeed a beautiful city. I think you should create time with your girlfriend to visit the beutiful city. Thanks for the follow and wonderful contribution. I'll check out your blog ASAP. Cheers.

Yeah, I can imagine! And we made turns in the bus, so it wasn't that bad. Also if you do it often, you kind of start getting used to it - however no way in hell I am doing that again! Now I am spoiled with planes and it's not worth to sit in that bus at all!

Oh, that's great! It is a couple of years before I moved to Berlin. I hope you had a lot of fun.

I will be leaving in January to travel in Asia, however when I come back I will take her to different cities throughout Europe for sure!

Cheers!

Hi MaryFavour, i have been watching your YouTube vids and they helped me a great deal to get started with Steem, especially being able to send steem to my Steemit account...thank you. Vienna looks amazing. i am all the way in South Africa with my family. We just had a spring day on the 1st of September. So we expecting beautiful weather for the next 6 months....Enjoy your travels!!!

Hello, @kgeola! I glad that my youtube videos have are of value to you. You are welcome. Vienna is a very beautiful city. I can attest to that. Wow! You are in South Africa with your family? That's good to know. I visited Durban in Dec 2013/January 2014. We were at Ushaka marine world. That is a visit I will live to remember. The weather in South Africa is the direct opposite of what we experinece here in Serbia. It's getting a little colder here now, while it's becoming warmer in SA. Thanks for visiting my blog. Steem on!

Oh wow 11 hours in the bus, oh my dear i just hate such long trips! But if i have some friends along then I can do it!
Hope you enjoy the max in Vienna my friend!
@progressivechef

Hi friend :D

Hello my friend, you here also!!! We are always meeting everywhere, that's really wonderful! Hope you are doing great!

Haha, it's great to see you pop up in random places :D

Hello my friend, @progressivechef! Sitting for about 11 hours in the bus was no joke at all. Yes, I agree with you that having friends t o chat with on a long trip by road helps a lot as you would't even know that time is passing. Anyway, I resorted to sleeping during the journey with my comfy travel pillow. Thanks as always for your contribution, my friend. Enjoy the steemit ride!
@maryfavour.

I wish I could come with you.

Don't worry, my brother, @bat-junior. Next time.

OK @maryfavour, I will be always available for any trip

okay, I will be expecting the pictures of that beautiful place I have never been to.

Thanks, Tobi. Hope to find time to share them. I've been quite busy since I returned. Cheers.

I hope you enjoyed the long trip.

I didn't really enjoy the long trip, @turpsy. Anyway, I'm gradually recovering from 'buslag' not 'jetlag'. Lol!

I guess this a really nice way to steam off a little steem.
Do have a steemilicious time at Vienna
