KLCC is a public park located next to the world famous Petronas Towers. The park was designed to be a calming contrast to the hustle and bustle of busy Kuala Lumpur city. The park also promotes conservation and bio-diversity, with over 1900 species of indigenous trees, and 66 different species of palm planted in the park. These trees were specifically planted to attract native birds to the area.
A man made lake is in the middle of the park, which houses a water fountain, that can shoot water over 40 meters in to the air. Various other waterfalls, cascades, fountains, and reflection pools are scattered throughout the park. A playground with a childrens pool is also located on the western side of the park.
