A Guide About Croatia

The Republic of Croatia is a beautiful country located in Central Europe. With an area of 56,594 square kilometers, the country has evolved from a war-torn region into one of the most desirable destinations in the whole of Europe.

Until 1991, she was a part of Yugoslavia, but is now a republic governed under a parliamentary system with a population of 4.28 million (according to a census held in 2011).

Croatia is to the east side of the Adriatic Sea and offers travelers the chance to explore the Adriatic Coast. Apart from the numerous seaside resorts and the neat parks scattered around, visitors have the chance to see what the classic interiors feel like in urban cities like Zagreb and how natural if feels to inhale the atmosphere of the villages in the surroundings.

With no iota of doubt, there are countless of places to visit in this beautiful country, as well as plenty of things to do. From beholding the architectural designs in Zagreb, exploring the popular Dalmatian Coast, paying a visit to the Diocletian Palace, tasting the homemade fabulous wines and eating the delicacies of Istria, Croatia sure has a lot to offer everyone.

Generally, the country is now easier to visit than ever before. Even though the International Monetary Fund (IMF) categorized the country as an emerging and developing economy, there have been lots of good improvements when it comes to national infrastructures in Croatia as there are now good extended roads that have been modernised.

Additionally, since tourism is one of the prominent things Croatia is known with, many hotels in the country have been renovated and now have a new look with superb designs.

The sweet thing here is that majority of foreign visitors do not need a visa to enter the country, including visitors from USA, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, UK, and EU countries. Citizens of EU countries only need their ID card to enter the country while others simply need to come around with a valid passport.

Culture Of Croatia

When giving a guide about a country, it is necessary to examine the country's cultures - as all countries have their own culture - and Croatia is not an exception.

Due to Croatia's geographic position, she represents a combination of four different cultural perspectives - the western culture, the culture of the east, the Mitteleuropa culture, and the Mediterranean culture.

The natives of Croatia are called Croats and are family oriented people who keeps very close relationships with their extended families.

One of the rich heritages of the Croats is that they don't send their elderly parents to nursing homes but rather take care of them in their own homes.
