The Waraos Indians or "people of water" are the natives of the Orinoco Delta - Venezuela. The family group of this indigenous tribe resides in houses on stilts, along the banks of the Orinoco and in any canal or Juana del Delta, spend most of their time hunting, fishing and exploring the surrounding jungle. An expert in the manufacture of wooden articles and other materials, the Warao builds his canoes and palafitos using traditional techniques. I took this picture on a trip I made with the Mis Palafitos Camp.
