Benedictine monastery "In Emmaus", Vyšehradská, New Town, Prague 2
The monastery was built after 1347, still rebuilt. Slavic and Baltic languages were grown here. Emperor Charles intended to send missionaries from here further to the East. Charles hoped to unite Eastern and Western Christians ... With the Emperor's death, the plan was over.
