The Medina of Essaouira is a magical place. It combines the best of Moroccan medinas and villages bordering the Mediterranean. The whitewashed Medina is decorated with bright blue doors and windows and different colors most of the streets are painted, each lane leading to a new corner to discover. It's not all that big and you can see it all in two full days (ie, if you're busy I could spend weeks lounging around Essaouira!). There are two or three main streets that intersect in the souk area in the middle.
