By the way, how are the prices like there? How much would one expect to pay for a taco and a beer?

A taco in the street is about 10 pesos which is about 50 cents. A beer is about 15 to 20 pesos, 75 cents to a dollar. Most things are generally half of what you would expect to pay in the US but as we know prices around the US vary.

I live in Germany, thus meaning it's not only in general hard to get tacos here, but even if you manage to find a place that sells them, you would expect to pay 2-4 euros (2.4-5 USD) for one :(
Of you could get a taco like these in Germany then it's worth it. The tortillas are often handmade fresh that day or the day before.
