Hey man, I too am a rider and photographer. I've seen your name a couple times as I am brand new to steemit and trying to figure it out. Maybe someday we can ride together and got on a photosfari.
Nice, thoughtful post. It is interesting that dynamite was NOT a product deisnged for war, but for mining. the intent was to make it easier and more humane to mine as mining was so backbreaking and wore men down. then we realized that it was not only great for blowing up rocks, but also people. Nobel was so discouraged that his invention for the benefit for mankind was being used for the destruction of mankind, he created the Nobel Peace Prize from his profits from dynamite.
As for solutions it seems that we need a cure for the heart of man. Education isn't the answer for hatred. Science, technology, and medication is not the answer. At least not yet. That is the point books like Pygmalion, Frankenstein, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. How does one fundamentally change the heart of man? Greater minds than mine have failed to find a solution.
Ride safe.
