Airports, what to do?

Waiting at the airport can be tedious as you can not. The long hours seem to expand in that no-man's land, where you are more than once forced to "kill time", either by delays or by endless stops. But this post is just to give you "life at that time at the airport" and help you to pass faster and be more enjoyable.

We all have a hard time waiting, some have more patience than others but in my case I despair! I see the clock and I feel that the needles instead of going forward run backwards after hours of travel, stopovers and many airports I wanted to prepare this list with "Things you can do to kill time" depending on the airport since they are all different in form and quality.

At any airport in the world

1 - Reading

The best are books, those that catch you and you can not look up. But if you do not have one at hand or you do not like reading very much; then magazines, newspapers or travel guides are also a good trick to make time "go faster".

2 - Walk through the stores

Maybe the number of stores in the airports vary, but you will always have some where to enter, take a look, meet! Since in many of these they focus on typical things of the country that you visit so it is a good option when it comes to killing time.

3 - Games

If you like videogames, make sure you have them all -or those you like most- on your mobile, on your tablet or on your console. The hours fly by!

4 - Browse the Web

In all the airports, however modest they may be, they have Wi-Fi zones or if you have your data, use them to access the internet, check social networks, watch some good videos or even take time to watch your favorite series, the important thing is that you have by hand your charger so that it does not leave you stranded halfway!

5 - Organize your cell phone

We all have an important mess in our photo folder ... and you know it! I can spend hours erasing and organizing my photo albums. Yes, try to do it with the battery full or while you charge the phone, because it eats battery like crazy!

6 - Observe the takeoff of Aircraft

Very few times we are dedicated to see this show! But it's kind of fun to watch the choreographic show between airplanes that land and take off! You can guess where it comes from and so spend a few minutes out of the tedious wait in the terminal.

In the best airports in the world:

As I mentioned, many airports have been careful - and continue to do so - to offer all kinds of services and attractions for passengers in transit: such as the art exhibitions that are regularly installed at the Heathrow T5 in London, the International Airport Museum of San Francisco in the USA, the artistic installations as "Kinetic rain", in the T1 of the Singapore airport.

7 - Shopping:

Even if you're not going to buy anything, one way to hang out is to go through the stores, especially the Duty-Free stores that offer a variety of products. The important thing is to stay entertained and moving

8 - Eat and / or drink:

Take the opportunity to sit in one of the bars and restaurants and eat with time and relaxed. I know that many times the food of the airports does not have quality and on top of it is very expensive. But some airports boast an excellent gourmet cuisine recognized and awarded as Kirei By Kabuki in the T4 of Madrid Airport, Porta Gaig in T1 Barcelona Airport, Top Air in Stuttgart Airport T1 or Croque Madame in T2 of John Airport F. Kennedy in NYC, are highly recommended places if you are of fine stroke

9 - Visit the varieties:

Airports like Amsterdam are spectacular for this and one where I had the best time! You can visit green areas within the same airport, there is an extension of the Rijksmuseum museum and even on the terrace you have the facility to get on a KLM plane to know it inside and live a unique experience

10 - Just relax:

Take a massage in one of the self-massage chairs that exist in many of the big international airports (those in Singapore are free!). Or better yet, give yourself a treat and directly enjoy the waiting times inside a SPA ... where? Although do not believe in many airports as in Helsinki-Vantaa (Finland), in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), in London-Heathrow (United Kingdom) or Kingsford Smith in Sydney (Australia).

11 - Do sport:

How? Yes friend. If you are lucky enough to arrive at one of the best airports in the world, you can play golf (Hong Kong Airport or at the Dom Muang in Thailand), ice skate (Seoul Airport), do some lengths in a pool of 25 meters (Doha Airport) or practicing yoga (San Francisco Airport, USA).

12 - Visit the city for a while:

If your scale exceeds the waiting time of 6 hours, as a general rule they allow you to leave the airport (without paying fees). So you can consider going around the city (check before and return times to the airport, it will not be a thing that you miss your connecting flight!) Salt Lake City (USa) airports, Singapore, Taipei, Utah (USA), Seoul, Istanbul, Tokyo or Doha offer free tours to see the city if you are a passenger in transit (some only for passengers of a specific airline).

You know! You have many options when it comes to "Killing Time" at an airport, do not stress and enjoy a little the long wait! Remember that in the end the atmosphere, you put it! Oh and try not to miss your flight in any of these distractions hehe!
